SEM-25-056 - Future Arrangements for System Services – DASSA Top-Up Mechanism Decision Paper

Date published:

The SEM Committee today, 1st October, publishes its decision on the DASSA Top-Up Mechanism.

The SEM Committee has decided that the TSOs will implement the Residual Availability Determination (RAD) as part of the DASSA design. The RAD will be introduced on a temporary basis, initially for a two year period.

The need for the RAD will be reviewed at the end of the two year temporary period, and the TSOs will make a recommendation on its continued use at that time. The SEM Committee will review any TSO recommendations against the evidence submitted in coming to a decision on terminating the framework or extending for a further two years. The SEM Committee has also decided to introduce a number of reporting requirements for the TSOs to monitor the use of the RAD.
