The SEM Committee is today, 6 March 2026, publishing a Decision Paper on Phase 2 of the Procurement of Low Carbon Inertia Services (LCIS). The Decision paper endorses the TSOs’ ‘Low Carbon Inertia Service Procurement - Phase 2 Recommendations’ paper (Annex 1). The Decision builds upon Phase 1 of the LCIS arrangements, with the aim of procuring a further 14,000 MVA.s of LCIS.
