The SEM Committee today, 31st July, publishes a consultation on potential measures to mitigate the possible abuse of market power in the new System Services Markets under the FASS programme.
The paper sets out a number of options to mitigate potential abuses of market power, and recommends the introduction of a non-prescriptive System Services Bidding Code of Practice. A draft of this document is published alongside this paper for comment. The paper also presents options in relation to ensuring active market participation.
An industry workshop will be arranged for early September to discuss the paper.
