The SEM Committee is today, 23rd November 2017, publishing an Information Paper regarding the validation of its PLEXOS model for the revised SEM arrangements, in conjunction with a public version of the SEM PLEXOS Forecast Model for 2018-19. The validation was completed by Baringa Partners LLP, who were appointed by the Regulatory Authorities (RAs) as independent consultants to validate the model. The validated model will cover the period from 23rd May 2018 until the end of 2019, and will be used by the RAs for Rounds 1-4 of Directed Contracts (DC) under the revised SEM arrangements, in addition to other modelling requirements.
