The System Services review is intended to ensure adequate system services (also referred to as Ancillary services) are available to meet the needs of the electricity system over the coming years, in challenges resulting from delivery of the 2020 renewables policy objectives on the island.
The TSO's first consultation of this process was published on 13th December 2011. The second consulation published on EirGrid's website proposes a range of new System Service products to address and mitigate the identified system issues for comment.
