The SEM Committee has published a notification of consultation on the potential eligibility of Synchronous Condenser Units to participate in Intermediary Arrangements.
The Regulatory Authorities have received a request to permit Synchronous Condenser Units to partake in Intermediary Arrangements. As this technology type is not currently eligible under the existing framework, the SEM Committee is now seeking stakeholder views to help inform whether the criteria should be updated.
Stakeholders are invited to share their feedback by close of business on 19 June 2026.
