As outlined in the Information Note on CRM Development Programme (SEM-26-007) issued on 2 March 2026, the SEM Committee (SEMC) has commenced a comprehensive review of the Capacity Remuneration Mechanism (CRM) in advance of the expiry of the current State aid approval in May 2028.
This CRM Development Programme will assess the performance of the existing mechanism and support the development of a proposed future design (“CRM 2.0”), with stakeholder engagement forming a key part of this process.
The Regulatory Authorities would like to invite all interested parties to participate in an in-person industry workshop.

This workshop will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to engage directly with the Regulatory Authorities on the scope of the CRM Development Programme, the issues under review, and the key design considerations for CRM 2.0. Stakeholder feedback at this early stage will form an important input into the development of the proposals scheduled for public consultation in July 2026.
Further details, including the workshop agenda, will be circulated in advance of the session to registered participants. The SEMC looks forward to productive engagement with industry as this important programme of work progresses.
