Capacity Market Code modifications working group 25 decision paper

On 1 July 2022, the RAs published the Capacity Market Code Modifications Consultation Paper (SEM-22-033) relating to the proposed modifications:

  • CMC_04_22: New Reference Rates for Default Interest;
  • CMC_06_22: New Interdependent Combined Units;
  • CMC_07_22: Modification to provisions for Market Registration of Demand Side Units – Variation In Mix;
  • CMC_08_22: Locational Capacity Constraints Maximum Quantities; and
  • CMC_09_22: Secondary trade approval notification.

The consultation period for this proposal ended on 2 August and today, 30 September 2022, the SEM Committee, publish the decision paper, setting out the following decisions for each proposal:

  • CMC_04_22: New Reference Rates for Default Interest

Approved for Implementation.

  • CMC_06_22: New Interdependent Combined Units

  • CMC_07_22: Modification to provisions for Market Registration of Demand Side Units – Variation In Mix

Rejected

  • CMC_08_22: Locational Capacity Constraints Maximum Quantities

Approved for Implementation.

  • CMC_09_22: Secondary trade approval notification

Approved for Implementation.
